HERE IT IS
No expense is spared here at thumping the tub (well, I bought some blank Cds and took a taxi).
I hereby present the first movie made by thumping the tub I hope it is not too amateur. If you like it you can download perfect quality here

Good show guys! Keep 'em coming. Not bad for a first film. Where'd you find that song?
Here are some "interesting" tunes by none other than Rev. Phelps' spawn at the Westboro Baptist Church. Ugh. http://www.godhatesamerica.com/html/Audio.html
very nice, very nice. We yanks are a crazy lot, ain't it? By the way, I remember the refrain from that song my family used to say it before dinner.
I smell a career brewing. Good stuff. I will throw a link up to it.
I dig it. I can only judge it this way: you kept my attention, fascinated me, and made me laugh at the horror ... like I said, I dig it.
there are british equivalents of that tune which all seem to revolve around meeting in cafes in berlin once the war is won. odd.
anyway, i heard the tune when it was used on the credits of an excellent film called 'we interrupt this empire' whic you can watch here http://tinyurl.com/8s7g8 i cannot recommend it highly enough rory, i added a link to your place. justin, seriously? graeme - thanks. guerillas...just going to check those out now
sure maybe not before every dinner but definitely if we were having beans or cabbage or beans and cabbage
Putting a link up to your movie over at the studio. Peace Bro, =RD=
Great stuff- keep 'em coming!
Nice! Keep up the good work.
Incidentally there's a song using that duck and cover sample. I think it's on the Peace Not War CD.
Excellent stuff. Seriously well done.
Excellent! I put up a link this AM.
That gave me about 6 or 7 chills!
Silly freakin' humans.
excellent stuff. you should post these over at gofish too.
That is pretty good, thanks for the pointer. I'm not acquainted with the tools, but I'd be curious how long that took you.
And make sure you submit it to the Huffington Post's "contagious festival." http://cf.huffingtonpost.com/ That'll get it out there to a much broader audience very quickly. Plus, if you poke around the other entries it might give you ideas, both technical and creative. I always try to add something. Mike
What software program did you use with this? Just curious. Love your film, can't wait to see the next one!
Super, dude! That's really cool!
Outstanding job, Michael. My wife said, "Thanks a lot. Now I can't get that damn song out of my head."
I'm looking forward to your next film, even if she isn't. Critics...sheesh.
michael: linkin' you at rory ...
Think it was great...linked it for others to see.
i wasn't able to watch the video at home (dial up and it JUST WOULDN'T PLAY RIGHT) so now i have and it is great! believe it or not i am familiar with that song so i knew you didn't make it up.
i'm going to link to this post but FIRST, i'm going to DUCK AND COVER
Great work. I especially liked the bit about newspapers, which for sheer comic genius must rival Protect and Survive's advice about sheltering behind doors and painting windows white.
and hello to all my first time commenters. will check out all your blogs tomorrow. glenda, i used windows movie maker(i know i know boo hiss boo hiss) but i think i am going to get a different one for future attempts. mike, thanks for the tip.
Very nice; very slick! The cheerful retro tone of the 'Praise God...' song lends a nice ironic touch. Whoever wrote or performed it was obviously blind to how sick and twisted it comes across to anyone not blinded by war fever.
That's excellent Michael. It's good to see that things have changed in the last 60 years or so, eh? Ahem....
Unbelievable how people think it's ok to have a "holy war". Seems like a slight contradiction to me. And I know you say that these leaders aren't really religious and only use it to control the masses, but I'm not so sure about that. I think they may be both religious and nuts (with each one feeding the other). But I see your point.
Michael: For some reason (probably a liberal conspiracy) I can't seem to view your flick. I'll try again soon...if there's anything at all to the "theory of evolution" (I doubt it) my computer will evolve to the point that it can handle the streaming data.
still dig your vid ... and a belated comment about your bird flu post ... I agree ... und herza link to my some of what rory thinkz of the adminz position onit:

Keep it up. Last frame is pure gold.
I run Cranky Little Blog at http://crankylittleblog.blogspot.com/ and just uploaded your video. I love it! Keep it up!!
I watched your video, "praise the lord and pass the ammunition". I loved it.
It was hilarious. I love that song and I have been waiting for an anti war advocate to use it for some kind of creative message. It was very well done. The parts I liked were the American Battleships sailing to Europe to save them from a totalitarian expansionist threat that surely would have enslaved them or murdered them in cold blood. I also enjoyed the ironic inclusion of the "duck and cover" footage as a satire of those leftists that are impeding efforts to defend against the current totalitarian expansionist tyrants in the middle east that are trying to kill us all. I have watched it a few times. It really made my day. I'm sharing it with my friends. American kids learn to handle weapons at a young age, because we not only have to defend ourselves, we have to bail out the European left everytime they wave around a piece of paper and claim to have established "peace in our time". You can just say thank you as we fly over, if you are able to roll out of your cozy bed.
Very impressive...I like it...I like it a lohhhhhht!
