Imagine a smoke stack. Set it next to a handful of abandoned skyscrapers.

but you always have the best tunes.

I live in the city too. this city is weird. i always say i could take people one 10 mile walk on one route and make them think they were in Paris, barcelona, madrid. I could take them another 10 mile walk and make them think they were in Bosnia.

i suppose all cities are the same in that regard.

the advantage of here is that about an hour and a half in any direction and you will be in places that look like the photos i posted.

I'm sorry I don't like your map but I do like your country very much. I've not been to Glasgow but a number of times to Edinburgh and the highlands and the inner Hebrides. Garsh I wish I lived as close as you do to stuff like that. Shame all the trees got cut down but still, from what I've seen of the world Scotland is the most beautiful place hands down.

Now as for The (dirty, brown) Hague...I have a friend from Italy who was shocked to see a brown beach here. No smokestacks or abandoned skyscrapers (and no one would ever mistake it for Paris or Barcelona), just a lot of incongruous architecture and dogshit EVERYWHERE.

    owww.

there are loads of beautiful places. all around the world, however, none of them are airports.

the phrase "as beautiful as an airport" has not appeared in any known langauge

  • Imperial Measures
  • What is going on in Iraq? Some things you knew, some you didn't. A couple of bits of info are out of date now.

  • Wish You Were Here
  • Wish You Were Here is a 6 minute film about the unprecendted rate of animal extinction we are currently experiencing

  • Gorillas and us
  • I don't like creationism, neither did Douglas Adams

    Arse of the month

The inaugural 'Arse of the month' award goes to our very own Scottish First Minister Jack (Joke) McConnell. He seems to spend a lot of his time sucking up to english politicians and yet it appears they don't even know his name. Follow the link to see..
