THE BATTLE FOR YOUR MIND.
Just wanted to post this quickly to make you aware of Strategic Communication Laboratories.

In their own words -

Strategic Communication Laboratories is the leading supplier of strategic communications, information operations and public diplomacy to governments and military clients around the world.

The company is the exclusive licence holder of the BDi strategic communication methodology, which is the most advanced and effective persuasion methodology for social and group communication.

The company provides solutions mainly for defence, internal security and foreign affairs governmental departments, but also provides solutions for tourism, financial markets & investment and health programmes.

All very admirable, I'm sure you'll agree. One of their many services is to provide an OpCentre. What can the OpCentre do?

  • Launch a powerful psyop campaign against an engaged enemy
  • Engender support within the national community for proposed military action
  • Re-engineer foreign perceptions to potentially avert conflict altogether
  • Develop national resilience and behavioural compliance for homeland security issues
  • Produce powerful public diplomacy campaigns for political, economic, military issues
  • Maintain an 'always ready' public communication command centre for critical incidents
  • Develop more effective public information campaigns for social and health issues

The whole SCL website is extremely disturbing. Please explore it and then post a comment to highlight the part(s) you find the most chilling. See this article at Infowars for a thorough analysis.

I saw an article on these guys awhile back, and one of their demonstrations was to "control the media" during a tabletop excercise simulating a bioterror event.

And, by "control the media," they mean planty false stories in the press to control people's behaviour.

Mmm, powerful psy-op program. I must obey. I must obey.

These bastards handle the invaded. Who takes care that the rest of us go along with it all? The other day Democracy Now! did a report on divestment of Sudan, and included info about Summit Communications, who make millions selling New York Times ad space to corrupt regimes peddling bona fide bullshit (and The NYT is pleased as punch).

It all starts earlier than these organizations though. I had a few psych courses and they were inundated with Marketing/PR types who were always talking about "impression management" (and we're talking grad. level seminars).

They're ENCOURAGED to learn about minds in order to better manipulate the consumer...

    Sleep tight!

  • Imperial Measures
  • What is going on in Iraq? Some things you knew, some you didn't. A couple of bits of info are out of date now.

  • Wish You Were Here
  • Wish You Were Here is a 6 minute film about the unprecendted rate of animal extinction we are currently experiencing

  • Gorillas and us
  • I don't like creationism, neither did Douglas Adams

    Arse of the month

The inaugural 'Arse of the month' award goes to our very own Scottish First Minister Jack (Joke) McConnell. He seems to spend a lot of his time sucking up to english politicians and yet it appears they don't even know his name. Follow the link to see..
